Where from here?

By Deepthi Anura Jayatunge

Rebirth is now widely believed in the western world and this could be judged by several Hollywood movies that had become block buster movies such as , City of angels , Heavens can wait , Ghost , Matrix, and the Reincarnation of Peter Proud to mention a few.

Reincarnation Versus Rebirth

Word reincarnation is not correct, as no one gets incarnated, but reborn in a different form of life. Even according to science energy cannot be destroyed but only could be changed in its form. In this context it is safe to believe that `EBlife form travels`ED in search of a new station to restart its life `EBcycle`ED ,if it is an energy source.

Computer software

A computer can down load its entire software from another computer ( even from another country ) with the help of a cellular phone (without any physical contact between the two computers ) . Hence we could believe that the mind can also travel to another place, or move among other bodies, using same physical elements.

Dr Ian Stevenson’s Book on Reincarnation

Dr Ian Stevenson published a book named `EB The evidence for survival ( Rebirth ) from claimed memories of former Incarnations `EC showing evidence of such incidents reported worldwide.

His finding could be assimilated using children showing great talents, at very young age, without guidance from parents or teachers such as, Mozart ( Music ) William Hamilton ( Persian Language ) Thomas Young etc.

Advance notice given by former servant

Further advance notices given by supernatural beings are explained in M Delarrey’s ‘Une Reincarnation Annoncee et Verifiee’. Here he explains of a medium who informed the family concerned, that a hovering soul ( Gandhabba ) wants to inform them, that he was their previous servant, Felix and he will be reborn in the family, on a particular day. When they asked for some means of identifying of the newborn, medium told them that `EB Felix`ED communicated that the baby will have deformed ears, as he had in his previous birth. On the particular day a son was born to the family, with deformed ears and the child was extremely loyal to the Lady, whom Felix has served as a servant.

Edgar Casey and Atlantis

Edgar Casey was able to identify previous births of many subjects who came before him. And further he could give medication, based on his readings. As many of his subjects were cured, and also to the reading confirming that landmass of Atlantis will rise again, brought him to his fame. In the day mentioned by `EBCasey`ED a ship captain saw a pillar of smoke rising from the sea and he was amazed to see a tiny land mass had come out of water and now become visible.

W. C. White  Cruise Memory  Beyond the five Senses

Some humans carry their likes and dislikes and even scars forward in after life. Mr W C White in his ‘Cruise Memory’ Beyond the five Senses `EB writes that an American family going around the world, felt that they were extremely familiar with Bombay roads. As the landscape was very familiar they even came to a bare land and claimed that there had been a house ( now demolished ) under a particular very large tree. The village policeman confirmed their claim, after consulting his very old father. The American family had loved the name ‘Bhan’ and had named their son accordingly, and was amazed to find that a family named ‘Bhan’ had owned the demolished house.

Goya a banished Spanish painter who lived in Southern France until his death

Mrs Henrietta Roos, a Dutch pianist claims in her publication ‘Personal Communications ‘ that she was made to draw a very beautiful picture under a trance, in the dark by a `EC soul of a dead Spanish painter Goya. Goya had to flee from Spain to escape his enemies and was greatly helped by her. She was amazed to find this incident recorded in Goya`EDs biography.

The Golden Pear

We must also study the story of the lady servant of a very rich moneylender, who had lent money even to French kings. Under hypnosi she claimed that she was held in high esteem by this noble, and to prove this she said, she was presented with a `ECsolid gold pear`EE to show the love of her master. She was unable to explain her relationship with the master for such gratifications, but showed extreme and blind loyalty when questioned while in trance. As the entire household wealth of this noble had been confiscated subsequently, there were detailed records of all items taken. There was a record of one ‘solid golden apple’ taken from this house. It has been argued that it is possible that golden pear could has been identified as an apple as they have almost looks alike, if not for the colour.

US Flag Ship Constitution

The US flag ship ‘Constitution’ now being displayed after her long service, surviving even to become the flagship during the World War. One spiritual medium observed that there is a disturbed soul hovering around cannon number 21, claiming to be of a US sailor, who was killed for deserting his cannon, during a battle with a French frigate. This sailor was first run through with his blade by his Captain and then was shot and killed, according to the ship`EDs log.

The ghost of the dead sailor refused to materialize, claiming his body is blown to bits, and also the ship’s log showed that the incident had taken place at the 3 rd cannon. Further investigation showed that during renovations they have interchanged places, of the two cannons, and the word shot means `EC partly dead sailor being tied to the mouth of the cannon and then being blown to bits. This has been standard punishment for deserters at that time.

Heidelberg Castle in Germany

Mr ED Walker in his publication ‘Reincarnation’ explains that when he entered the Heidelberg Castle in Germany, he could explain the structure of the rooms before entering it. He also amazed his friends, claiming that he had written his former professors name in a certain book, in his previous birth, and the name was there, after they found the book, with much trouble.

Soul of Nyria- R C Campbell

She explained these facts ( of 100 AD ) in such completeness; only few historians had access to such minute details. As to the controversial statement she made relating to three wives of the ruling roman Emperor, was subsequently confirmed, by few historians.

Verified cases of Rebirth

The Book named ‘Reincarnation : Verified cases of Rebirth after death by Krishna Kekai speaks about seven such observations and provides valuable research data on this subject.

Rebirth of Kathsugoro - eight year old boy from Japan

In `EC The Rebirth of Katsugoro `EC records readings of a small eight year old Japanese boy , who claimed that he had died at the tender age of six, in his previous birth. He was taken to the town he lived in his previous birth, managed to identify many locations, without the help of any elder.

Mrs Lorna Reno a French Lady, worked as a medium, and could see the past and the future with much accuracy. In her previous birth she claimed she lived in Northern Italy and later found the correct location of her previous house, claming that she died after a long illness. Further she was adamant that her body was not buried in the family burial, but in the Church graveyard. Investigators found a document which stated the lady in question died on 23 rd October 1809 , after being ill for a long time ,and was buried in the `EC Notradam Du Mon `EC Chapel.

Case of Reincarnation  Shanthi Devi , three year old girl from Delhi

A three-year-old girl, born in 1926 named `EC Shanthi Devi `EC from Delhi claimed that she lived in `EC Madura `EC eighty miles away in her previous birth.

Earlier she was born in 1902 and married a textile merchant and died ten days after the birth of her first baby.

When taken to `EC Madura `EC she identified all relations from her previous life form a large gathering. She easily identified the house claiming that the colour is now changed. She showed a great familiarity of the house and suddenly showed a corner of a room and said she hid lot of money in this place. After digging they found an underground safe and after much persuasion the textile merchant had to admit, that he took the money after his wife died, with out any body`EDs knowledge. The story of Shanthi Devi is recorded as a very positive investigation, as her story being strongly confirmed

Small daughter of a Doctor, died in Sicily in 1910 but came to in her mother in dreams and informed her, that she ( daughter ) will be reborn again as her child, which became true in one years time. The Mother claims that the newborn is just like the daughter who died, in every which way, even by her looks and she also hates cheese, like her former daughter.

When she was eight they wanted her to visit a new town and she claimed that she had gone there earlier, and even described the statutes and the robes of Greek fathers she had met. Her mother faintly remembered the meeting with the fathers, with great difficulty, and a trip gone with her dead daughter, just few months before she died.

The Search for Bridey Murphy `F1 by M Bernstein

Mrs Virginia , under hypnosis spoke above her previous life she spent as Bridey Murphy , life she lived in Ireland. Dr Ian Smith allocates very low priority to this reading, if to be used as a case study. They were unable to trace nor establish that anyone meeting the description narrated as of Bridey Murphy`ED ever lived in Ireland. Mrs Virginia may have had some Irish friends during her childhood, and though she spoke several Irish expressions such as `EB Handkerchief and linen `EB, she also had used several American words such as `EB Downtown and Candy`ED in her readings. Dr Ian Stevenson was made to believe, that she made this reading using her Paranormal Faculties.

Rosemary - Wood

Young lady named Rosemary could speak `EBEgyptian language`ED that was used during `EBPharaohs`ED time extremely well, and her ability was confirmed by a linguistic specialized on this particular `EBdead language`ED.

Dr. Ian Stevenson and his case studies

The Case studies are done with great care not to be mislead, by the evidence submitted before him. His studies show a great professionalism and quite independency when proving his theory. He even disregards very many case studies that cannot be positively proved, due to lack of documentary and corroborative evidence, taking only undisputable evidence, as if in a court of law. He himself criticizes his own methods, giving the responsibility to the reader to decide.

Tenzin Sherch Abey  boy born in Vancouver

A boy born in Canada with his legs deformed as if of one who had been meditating on `EBlotus `EBposition, as practised by many Buddhist monks? At the age of three, he claimed he was the reincarnation of a Tibetan Buddhist monk , and started speaking in a different language. His parents sent a letter to `EB His holiness Dalai Lama `EB , chief of Tibetan monasteries, and he immediately recognized him ( boy ) at the Montreal air port as one of their renounced priests , who died in 1950. This small boy at the age of 14 , left his family and went to Tibet, and became a Buddhist monk ,in a far away monastery , up in the mountains. .

Such claims are understood my many philosophers, identifying life to be an `EBenergy source`ED capable of surviving, even after the body decays. They also points out that even according to modern day science `EB energy`ED cannot be destroyed, but only could be changed to another form of energy.

However Barry Byerstin counter argues that brain saves its memories in fragments, and such experiences on reincarnation, could be a combination of unintentional exposures, or unintentional coaching, from his ( Tenzin`EDs ) parents. He also says that in a free country any one has the right to believe anything, but if some one wants him to be convinced, they should bring in more conclusive evidence before him.

Jenny Cockell  South England

She being a small girl spoke of her past experience as a mother, who died in 1932, leaving 8 children orphaned and of her memories of Ireland , Dublin , Malahide , a cottage near a stream and that she waited near a jetty for some one to come home, and also about a portrait of a dead Solider hung on her wall. She visited Malahide in 1982 identified all locations and was reunited with her orphans, who has been despatched to several orphanages, following her death. Her eldest son now over 80 years was able to confirm her memories relating to `EBMary Sutton`ED, his mother. He had been 13 when she died. `EBNicholas Sonny Sutton`ED the eldest had the photographs she mentioned in his house, and confirmed his mother always used to come to the jetty, awaiting his return , from the nearby golf course, where he worked as a caddy.

Barry Byerstin rejecting this ,calls this is only a contamination of memories , and further call them honest liars , who think they are telling the truth and needing further validation and accuracy. How ever Jenny feels relieved, that she was able to reunite and bring together, her orphaned children, of her previous life.

Edward Austrian -4 year old- born with- life birth defect from `F1 Connecticut

Young Edward claimed that he died a violent death, as a French Solider being shot from behind and remembered, dying on the mud. He was cured after he was relived of this trauma, as he was able to relate further details, under anaesthesia, at the time he was taken for a surgery, to correct this birth defect.

Dr Brian Weiss the author of `EB Many lives `EB on reincarnation believes that during the first few years of a child, his brain cannot access memories. And also that one cannot readily prove the performances of the spiritual side. They are unexplainable and the evidence cannot be physically presented, as they are deeper than matter, needing special understanding.
